A Good Time for Our H*VMI Family

We thank the Lord for the H*VMI retreat this past weekend. A great time of fellowship, testimonies, lots of laughter, good meals, fun games and the opportunity to share in God's precious Word together and pray. In addition we had great weather throughout the entire weekend. The thing that really thrilled my heart was to see people interacting with each other. There was a definite cross over between the various ministries in H*VMI as they shared. In addition, we had three Board members attend. Two of them were recently admitted to the Board. I know it was great for them to learn more about the different areas of ministry within H*VMI. All three of them fit right in to the fun and fellowship of the weekend. Jim Hottenstein, Associate Pastor at Community Bible Church in Marietta, PA was our speaker. Our theme was "Remaining in the Vine" based on John 15. What a joy it was to get into God's Word and see the treasures waiting for us. It was great to have Jim and his wife at the retreat. They fit right in with the staff.

Thanks for Deb Clark, our Director of Member Care, and her hard work to make everyone feel welcome from the time they entered the door until the end of the retreat. I believe everyone left feeling refreshed and encouraged from the messages and the fellowship.

The retreat, I believe is a vital key in the course of the year. It gives the staff and Board the opportunity to really get to know each other and appreciate the other ministries. There were people who prayed for the weekend and for that I am so grateful.
