New Season, New Opportunities

Welcome to the Fall of the year. New beginnings, exciting programs and opportunities. I'm hoping that you will take advantage of them:

There's the Charity Golf Outing in South Jersey. Over the years it has been quite an exciting event bringing golfers from all over South Jersey and Pennsylvania. There is great fellowship, a wonderful opportunity to get exercise, a delicious meal and the chance to take home exceptional prizes. In addition, you'll be able to meet several of our H*VMI staff and learn more about what the Lord is doing through this organization.

On October 2nd, our Minds Renewed Ministry will be holding their National Day of Prayer for Mental Illness Recovery and Understanding program at Calvary Church in Lancaster, cosponsoring it with No Longer Alone Ministry.

Then there's the H*VMI banquet at the Shady Maple Complex here in Lancaster County, PA. You know you'll be well fed at a fabulous facility because of the great reputation Shady Maple has had over the years. This year the theme is "How Sweet the Sound."  We'll have the JOYBELLS, a Handbell Choir from Melmark, a residential home for people with disabilities; and other special "sounds" from the H*VMI ministry outreaches. Our speaker this year is Dr. Peter Teague, President of  Lancaster Bible College. It's going to be quite an event.

Prior to the banquet, BASIS will hold a service of "Remembering with Hope" for bereaved parents and families at Bethany Grace Fellowship Church in East Earl.
