Soaring Like Eagles

but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.  Isaiah 40:31

Last time we talked about three ways God renews our strength as caregivers and ministers of His Gospel! The first was soaring on wings like eagles meaning we gain a better or higher perspective of a situation.

To help them soar, eagles use thermals which are rising currents of warm air and up-drafts generated by terrain such as valley edges or mountain slopes. Soaring is accomplished with very little wing-flapping, enabling them to conserve energy. Bald eagles can fly to an altitude of 10,000 feet. (taken from baldeagleinfo.com)

Flying to an altitude of 10,000 feet allows the eagle to gain perspective of his environment and because his eyes are four times more precise than the most efficient human eye, he can search for food and a place to build a nest.

When we can see things through God's eyes, we often will treat a person or situation differently. Mounting up with wings like an eagle renews our strength and encourages us to continue on with the right perspective.
