Serve In Love

Serve one another in love. Galatians 5:13b

Our new missionary/ministry staff training week was completed a few weeks ago. This week is called SERVANT Orientation and the purpose is to expose our new staff to the ministry of H*VMI. The theme of the week is to learn how to become a servant in ministry.

One of our guest speakers shared with us that the real motivation for what we do as believers is love. This was a powerful reminder to me personally as I thought about all of the people I come in contact with throughout my day. I had to ask myself, "Am I really serving others with the love of Christ?"

Christ's love is so immeasurable! The verses that really spoke to me are found in Ephesians 3:17b-19:

I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge – that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. 

Think about what we could do for Christ if we would serve in love. What are some ways that you can serve others and love on them with the love of Christ?
