Waiting for God's Timing

In Matthew 19:26, Jesus made an incredible statement to His disciples that is so valid for you and me today. He said,

"...with God all things are possible."

The things which seem impossible to us are very possible to our sovereign God:

  • living on missionary financial support during a tough economy
  • working through an extremely busy and hard schedule
  • ministering or living with a difficult individual
  • waiting for circumstances to change
  • longing for the "impossible dream" to happen
just to name a few.

As you wait, keep two very important facts in mind.

  1. The Lord's timing is always perfect. He's never one minute late . . . . or early.
  2. He has provided an overwhelming amount of grace for each waiting moment.

Our response to those two facts is to trust in His sovereign will and wait patiently (at least most of the time) for His answer.  It's always worth waiting for.

"WAIT FOR THE LORD; BE STRONG AND LET YOUR HEART TAKE COURAGE; YES, WAIT FOR THE LORD."  Psalm 27:14
