Handi*Camp seeks staff members who continue to maintain a strong, growing and committed relationship with the Lord. PLEASE CHECK ONE OF THE FOLLOWING:

Some positions at Handi*Camp may require lifting or physical stamina, such as lifting up to 40 pounds, transferring a camper into and out of a wheelchair, frequent bending, walking/hiking on uneven or steep terrain, or strenuous exercise. I will put other people’s needs before my own for the duration of camp, take a brief break and do it all again.

I will serve other staff members and campers with a positive attitude, even if they are from different cultural, social or religious backgrounds.

I will work as a team, doing whatever is needed, even if it’s “not my job.”

I will learn how to help children, teens or adults with physical or intellectual disabilities participate fully in camp life and activities – even if it means helping with personal care, taking someone to the bathroom or changing a diaper.

I will follow camp rules regarding the use of texting and online activity.

I will, with God's help, choose to have a positive and encouraging attitude through the long, hot, and sometimes difficult days of camp.

I will honor the trust the Handi*Camp fulltime staff places in me by doing my very best as I serve at Handi*Camp

If accepted, I agree to abide by all the rules and regulations of Handi*Vangelism Ministries International (H*VMI)/Handi*Camp (H*C). I understand that H*VMI/H*C requires employees to uphold high standards, morals and values of the Biblical Christian life. I understand that H*C does not allow employees to engage in any of the following on or off campus during the employment period: smoking, drinking alcohol, using controlled substances or illegal drugs, sexual misconduct, theft, immorality, damaging of property, physical or emotional injury to others, deception or other forms of Biblically unacceptable behavior. Participation in any of these may be cause for my immediate dismissal.

I understand that my work at H*C is a responsibility not to be taken lightly. I further understand that my actions as I serve the Lord at H*C should reflect the Love of Christ in me, and that it is vitally important that I remain true to my commitment to Christ and Christ-likeness as I am an example for the campers and their families as I serve.

I understand that H*C’s staff is made up of people from different cultural, social and religious backgrounds. H*VMI/H*C does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. It is expected that all who serve at camp have a Biblical view of who we are as children of God and respect each other as such (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 10:12; James 2:1-4)

I understand that if I am offered a position, it will be on condition that my employment shall be at will. I understand and agree that my employment may be terminated by H*VMI/H*C any time, with or without cause and with or without notice at the option of H*VMI/H*C or myself. I understand that by applying I am not committing myself to a staff position. If accepted for a staff position, I will then have the opportunity to decline or accept employment.

I authorize H*VMI/H*C to conduct a criminal background check using the information completed above for the sole purpose of determining the existence of any conviction record.
