SO FAR God has allowed us to:

Purchase the property debt-free.
Finish construction of the H*VMI Office building.
Excavate the entire property in preparation for construction of the next buildings.

WHY?

We have campers, but no camp buildings. For four years parents have been waiting (and campers too!), asking, “Is overnight camp resuming this summer?” Sadly, we have to keep saying, “No. Not yet. Maybe next year.” Not having camp buildings has kept most longtime veteran Handi*Campers from attending since before Covid.
We have Bible club students, but no classrooms. While the office allows us to hold some Bible clubs on-site, it was not designed as the permanent solution. Our groups are growing and we are using our hallways to meet while our Bible clubbers wait for real classrooms.
We have parents in our BASIS (for bereaved parents) and PIP (for parents of a child with a disability) Support Groups waiting for additional resources: retreats where parents can get away and reconnect with the Lord and with each other; childcare so they can attend support groups; and support programs for siblings.

PROJECT COMPLETION will RESULT IN:

Overnight camp in addition to Day Camp!
Classrooms for Bible clubs!
Expanded options to serve grieving parents and families affected by disability!
A place to reach and train others to reach even more children, teens and adults with the Hope found only in Christ!
