The Greatest Gift

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32

Think about Christmas - what was the greatest gift you ever received?

When I was a little girl, perhaps the greatest gift was a doll baby or a pair of ice skates or even the toy washing machine I had to share with my sister!

Now when I think about the Greatest Gift, I think of the gift that God gave to us many years ago in the form of a little baby, Jesus. In Ephesians 4:32, we are challenged to be kind and compassionate, forgiving each other. The reason we need to be doing these things is not because we think it is the right thing to do, but because of God's Greatest Gift to us, Jesus, the One who died, rose again and has forgiven all of our sins.

This time of year we remember His coming and the reason for that special birth. May we all hold tightly to the Greatest Gift ever given and may we share Him with those around us.

Merry Christmas!
