God's Sovereign Control - What a Place to Rest!!!

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jer. 29:11)

Anxious? Worried? Fearful? Life can most certainly prompt these feelings! But, when we override them with the certainty that GOD IS SOVEREIGN OVER ALL THINGS, it is possible to be at peace, to experience joy, to REST!!!

Meditating on Scriptures that confirm God’s control over EVERYTHING in life is a wonderful activity to help us cope with painful circumstances. We can always be certain that NOTHING touches us, or hurts us, without God’s permission; so, somehow, it will be alright.

Look at these Scriptures. God is clearly in control!!

Psalm 66:10-12b

Psalm 139:16

Lamentations 3:38

Isaiah 45:7

Isaiah 55:8

Now, look at these Scriptures that confirm that the things that take place in our lives are purposeful – and good!!

Finally, remind yourself of His loving plan that allows YOU the privilege of belonging to the Sovereign One!

Ephesians 1:4-6

Enjoy this old hymn. As we say – it’s an “oldie” but “goodie!” The message is profound and SUCH a blessing!!
