The Blameless Walk
/Lord, who may dwell in your sanctuary? Who may live on your holy hill?
He whose walk is blameless and who does what is righteous, who speaks the truth from his heart and has no slander on his tongue, who does his neighbor no wrong and casts no slur on his fellow man, who despises a vile man but honors those who fear the Lord, who keeps his oath even when it hurts, who lends his money without usury and does not accept a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things will never be shaken. Psalm 15
As I read this Psalm it brought to mind another passage in Galatians 5 that talks about keeping in step with the Spirit. The verses in this passage talk about living life by the Spirit and the fruit that will be produced in us as we walk that walk, namely, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
I am amazed at how God's Word consistently urges us to take a look at our lives as we minister and serve others.
- What is coming out of your heart and mouth?
- How have you shown kindness to someone God has brought across your path today?
- What changes do you need to make in your life so you are lined up with God's way of walking?
Take a moment and ask God to lead you down the blameless path as you rest in His love and grace AND thank Him for His promise that if we walk as He desires us to do, we dwell in His presence and can never be shaken!
