Missionary:      MICHELLE MANTHEY

With H*VMI Since: 1998
Michelle Manthey

With my husband, Nathanael

What I do at H*VMI:

  • Coordinate REST Ministries' Prison Team
  • Coordinate REST's publications
  • Assist at REST's thrift store ministry (Tabitha's)
  • Assist women released from prison

About Me:

Family: In 2006, I married my wonderful husband, Nathanael, who is such an encouragement and support to me in this ministry. We don't have any children yet, but enjoy being aunt and uncle to nine precious nieces and nephews. I am the oldest of four sisters, two who live all the way in Arizona with my dad and step-mom. My mom lives in Lancaster County, where I spent my teenage and college years.

Hobbies: I love to cook, read historical fiction and make personalized gifts. I especially love to FONDUE -it's cheesy and chocolaty goodness!

Background: I attended Lancaster Bible College, graduating in 1997 with a BS in Bible and a professional emphasis in Biblical Counseling. That summer I began the process of becoming a missionary with REST Ministries. Since then, I have taken several graduate courses through Taylor University in Criminal Justice, as well as several adult education courses in Graphic Design.

My Life Verse: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." (Jer. 29:11)

Please Pray for Me:   (Click on my newsletter below for more specific requests.)

  • That I make time with my Lord my number one priority each day
  • That God increases my compassion for those I minister to, especially when I don't
    "feel" like it
  • That God will raise up the staff and resources necessary to open a residential center for women coming out of prison in the Coatesville, PA area
