Training Event: Surviving Sorrow, Helping the Hurting

What you will learn: Grief is experienced by everyone, at some time, over many life events. See how the grief experience is common in all of us and unique to each of us. Learn the grief process. Think about what issues in our hearts are revealed by our grief process and learn about the comfort God gives to His children. Everybody loves someone. Everybody dies. So Everybody grieves. This workshop is for the one who is grieving today and for those who want to be helpful to someone who is grieving.
Presenter: Judy Blore
Judy Blore has been working in the area of grieving since 1974 - first as manager of a Ronald McDonald House then since 1990, as director of BASIS, a ministry of H*VMI for bereaved parents and families. She has talked with thousands of grieving people and some of their children. She has published 3 articles on helping grieving children and has a certificate in pastoral counseling from Christian Counseling and Education Foundation.

Teens Grief Care Group - a 6 week workshop for 11-19 year olds
We will learn about what grief looks and feels like, some of the themes that usually are part of grief, some themes of hope. We will view videos that help define both kinds of themes. Snacks provided.
The next scheduled group is in Ephrata, PA starting in October. Please check back for details later.
