Handi*Camp's Camp Programs & Activities

Five-day, four-night sessions are provided for the following program groups:

    CHALLENGERS:

Youth (ages 9-21) and adults (ages 21-40) who have mental or multiple disabilities (moderate or life skills level).

    ADVENTURERS:

Youth (ages 9-12) who have disabilities and are working at or near age-appropriate grade levels.

    CONQUERORS:

Youth (ages 13-20) who have disabilities and are at or near their peer level socially, emotionally and academically.

    VOYAGERS:

Young adults (ages 20-30) who have disabilities and are at or near their peer level socially, emotionally and academically.

All aspects of the Handi*Camp program are planned to meet the needs of our campers and adapted so that every camper can fully participate in each area of camp.

Care is taken to make sure all staff are prepared and able to meet the physical needs of all campers. Activities and electives are planned to help campers . . .

  • enjoy a variety of experiences
  • discover their gifts and develop their abilities
  • renew old friendships and begin new ones

An emphasis is placed on meeting the spiritual needs of campers through chapels, Bible classes and devotional times. Handi*Camp is committed to helping all our campers grow physically, intellectually, socially and spiritually in an environment of love, respect and encouragement.
 

The registration process for attending our camp programs begins each year in late February.

All sessions are filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
